Job Purpose

  • This position reports to the Precision Technology Group market leader for the UK & ROI.
  • The precision farming specialist position has the responsibility of developing the precision farming business of CNH Industrial and its New Holland and Case IH dealerships throughout the specified region as well as following central brand activities.
  • Drive increased adoption of precision farming technology across New Holland and Case IH’s vehicle and implement offering.
  • Increase dealer knowledge and product expertise on whole-goods and aftermarket precision farming products; including connected services and FieldOps platform.
  • Deliver increased sales of CNHi’s aftermarket precision products including its RAVEN and FP Fleetpro product lines.z

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating within pre-defined targets & budget objectives
  • Driving and supporting dealers to establish or further develop their precision farming business under New Holland, Case IH, Raven and FP Fleetpro brands.
  • Provide sales support for CNH’s range of aftermarket precision farming products
  • Regular dealer visits are a core part of the job; supporting customer sales visits as well as assisting in some technical support activities.
  • Ensure that all precision farming marketing programmes are fully understood and utilised by the dealer sales force.
  • Establishing market specific promotions tailored to local customer and dealer needs.
  • Support dealers with the role out of CNH’s precision related connected services, including New Holland FieldOps and Case IH FieldOps fleet and agronomic management platform.
  • Promote and expand CNH’s RTK network throughout the region.
  • Organise and assist the delivery of sales and product training to ensure dealer sales staff are knowledgeable and able to sell precision farming features and benefits

Experience Required

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An in-depth understanding of agriculture, and different agricultural production systems.
  • Strong background in precision farming technologies and their applications in agriculture
  • Good knowledge of the precision faming market in the UK and ROI including its key players
  • Good crop production and agronomic knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
  • An in-depth appreciation & knowledge of sales and product related activities associated with agricultural equipment
  • Qualified to HND or degree level in an agricultural or engineering subject; plus, a proven track record selling
  • Computer literacy to a high standard is essential
  • Experience in a Sales & Marketing environment
  • A full clean driving licence is required as a job car is provided
  • The job will require extensive travel within the territory and overnight stays within the market will be necessary; occasional overseas travel will also be required – a valid passport is therefore required
  • People skills are essential and the ability to handle difficult situations with dealers and customers
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Ability and discipline to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with a positive, can-do mentality; enthusiastic and a willingness to take ownership & responsibility for their own performance
