Job Purpose

Responsible for accounting and financial activities within CNH, providing financial information to the branches, enabling these branches to make budgeting and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the accurate, timely and efficient completion of month-end functions and reporting to group and business locally:
• • Ensure all monthly transactions and journals are processed timeously and accurately.
  • Ensure all provisions and accruals relating to the relevant month are accounted for.
  • Perform cost centre analysis for branches and divisions when requested.

• Accountable for effective Financial Controls and Systems to ensure the accurate and efficient execution of adhoc Accounting Functions:
  • Monitor internal control environment and address any major deviations from policies.
  • Assist with daily payment reviews and releases when required.

• Accountable for the accurate and efficient completion of general ledger reconciliations:
  • Ensure the reconciliation and reviewing of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Analyse specified income statement accounts for correctness.
  • Identify and resolve any unusual items on the accounts.

• Accountable for the accurate and efficient completion of audits and year-end functions:
  • Assisting with audit queries from both internal and external audit.
  • Assisting with inventory related activities at year end.

• Equipment Management and branch workshops:
  • Reviewing and approving all used vehicle transactions.
  • Completing monthly assessment of workshop jobs and work in progress.

• Team management:
  • Mentor and lead assistant accountants.

Experience Required

• 5-7 years: Accounting experience
• 5-7 years: People management experience

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum requirement:

• B.Com (Accounting) degree with articles

Advantageous:

• Honours in B.Com Accounting
