Job Purpose

This role is responsible for leading the India Metallic – Forgings and Castings category, with additional focus on related machining and hardware supplier base development. The position will report to the India Metallic Lead and will drive sourcing strategy, supplier capacity building, cost competitiveness, quality deliverables and long-term strengthening of the India sourcing base.

Key Responsibilities

Lead category management for Forgings and Castings, including related machining and hardware sourcing requirements across CNH India operations

·  Develop and deploy sourcing strategy for forging, casting, machining and hardware supplier categories in alignment with India Metallic business priorities

·  Drive supplier selection, RFQ management, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations and contracting to deliver cost, quality, capacity and timeline objectives

·  Strengthen the India sourcing base by building supplier capacity, improving supplier capability, developing alternate sources and ensuring readiness for current and future CNH India business needs

·  Work closely with suppliers to address capacity constraints, improve process capability, drive quality improvements and ensure sustainable supply performance

·  Ensure compliance with Purchasing processes, systems, and Delegation of Authority (DoA)

·  Lead annual cost negotiations including YOY productivity, raw material variations, commercial and technical cost reductions in collaboration with cross-functional teams

·  Manage and control material cost drivers including raw material indices, inflation, productivity, and supplier economics

·  Own budget planning (material cost, capex, revenue) and continuous tracking of performance vs targets 

Experience Required

15–20 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing or commodity management within Automotive / Off-highway / Industrial sectors

Strong hands-on experience with forging, casting, foundry, machining and hardware suppliers, including process capability, capacity planning, tooling, quality systems and cost structures

Preferred Qualifications

BE/B.Tech(Regular) - Mechanical Engineering Background
