Job Purpose
This role exists to lead and execute the integration of advanced precision agriculture technologies into on‑board agricultural platforms, with an initial project focus on autonomous solutions and a planned expansion into broader precision farming and digital systems integration.
The position provides a core technical bridge between suppliers, internal R&D, manufacturing, and aftermarket teams, enabling scalable, standardized, and future‑ready integration of precision farming technologies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Autonomous Systems Integration (Initial Project Focus)
Act as the technical integration owner for third‑party autonomous solutions, including autonomous control, high‑precision positioning (GNSS/BeiDou), sensor fusion, and operation algorithms.
Lead technical alignment with autonomy suppliers, gaining deep understanding of architecture, interfaces, performance boundaries, and deployment requirements.
Define integration strategies, interface standards, and acceptance criteria to ensure autonomous solutions operate reliably within company platforms.
Execute end‑to‑end system integration and joint debugging, ensuring autonomous functions operate safely, consistently, and in alignment with existing vehicle control systems.
Resolve system‑level conflicts including interface mismatches, timing issues, control logic overlap, and data integrity concerns.
Support field testing and agricultural scenario validation (dry land, paddy, hilly terrain), driving iterative optimisation toward production readiness.
2. Advanced Precision Systems Integration
Integration of multiple precision agriculture technologies
Support both factory‑installed (OEM) solutions and aftermarket retrofit systems, ensuring compatibility across product generations.
Define reusable integration frameworks and technical standards to reduce complexity and accelerate future system deployments.
Collaborate with product, manufacturing, and aftermarket teams to ensure integration approaches suit production, serviceability, and upgrade paths.
Ensure precision systems maintain functional consistency and data continuity across mixed configurations (OEM + aftermarket).
3. System Integration, Testing & Optimisation
Develop and execute system‑level integration and validation plans, covering performance, stability, and real‑world agricultural use.
Drive issue resolution with both internal teams and suppliers, ensuring problems are closed efficiently and root causes are addressed.
Optimise system architectures to improve reliability, real‑time performance, and resource utilisation.
Support production trials, pilot programs, and early customer deployments.
4. Data & Digital System Coordination
Work closely with data and analytics teams to enable clean, reliable data exchange between integrated systems.
Ensure on‑board systems generate structured data suitable for analytics, optimisation, and future digital services.
Support alignment between on‑board systems and off‑board platforms (where applicable).
5. Documentation, Standardisation & Knowledge Capture
Produce high‑quality technical documentation including:
Capture integration learnings into internal standards, guidelines, and reusable templates.
Maintain system integration records to support upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle management.
6. Cross‑Functional & Supplier Collaboration
Act as a technical coordinator across R&D, manufacturing, field testing, and aftermarket teams.
Provide technical input for supplier evaluation, selection, and roadmap planning.
Support internal training and after‑sales teams with system understanding and integration logic.
Experience Required
Technical Skills
- Strong background in embedded systems and industrial control system integration.
- Hands‑on experience with common interfaces and protocols (CAN, CAN‑FD, RS232/485, Ethernet, MQTT, etc.).
- Solid understanding of precision agriculture systems, with autonomy experience considered a strong advantage.
- Experience integrating third‑party solutions into complex host platforms.
- Familiarity with system‑level debugging tools and test equipment.
- Working knowledge of C/C++/Python for interface adaptation or light secondary development.
- Understanding of data flows within precision ag systems and digital ecosystems.
Soft Skills
- Strong supplier‑facing technical communication and negotiation capability.
- Structured problem‑solving mindset with a system‑level view.
- Ability to work across cultures and cross‑functional teams.
- High attention to detail combined with delivery focus.
- Comfortable working between development, test, production, and field environments.
Preferred Background
- 3–5+ years in systems integration, embedded platforms, or intelligent equipment.
- Experience across both OEM development and aftermarket integration environments is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to agriculture machinery, autonomy, or precision farming systems.
- Degree in Electronics, Automation, Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related fields.
