- Drive evolution of the regional infrastructure footprint toward cloud‑enabled and hybrid architectures, leveraging Microsoft Azure and aligned enterprise technologies.
- Define and govern standard architectures, reference designs, and patterns for compute, network, and storage, aligning with global standards while addressing regional regulatory and site‑specific requirements.
- Partner with Global Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture teams to influence global strategy based on regional needs and operational insights.
Operations, Reliability & Resilience:
- Lead day‑to‑day regional infrastructure operations with a strong focus on availability, performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Establish and track operational KPIs (availability, incident trends, change success, recovery times) and drive continuous service improvement.
- Own lifecycle and capacity management for infrastructure platforms, including refresh planning, patching, firmware updates, OS upgrades, and demand forecasting.
- Own data protection and resiliency practices, including backup/restore, replication, disaster recovery planning, and routine DR testing with documented outcomes and remediation tracking.
- Lead major incident, problem, and change management for infrastructure services, ensuring strong governance, root‑cause elimination, and learning from outages.
Security, Risk & Compliance:
- Partner closely with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to implement infrastructure controls, including secure configurations, segmentation, privileged access, logging, and vulnerability management.
- Support internal and external audits across APAC and India, ensuring evidence‑based compliance with regulatory, data protection, and corporate policies.
Vendor, Commercial & Financial Management:
- Own regional vendor strategy and commercial management across telecom carriers, colocation providers, infrastructure OEMs, and support partners.
- Lead RFP/RFQ processes, vendor evaluations, negotiations, and contract renewals; manage SLAs, performance, risk, and cost optimization.
- Establish vendor governance mechanisms such as scorecards, QBRs, service reviews, and escalation paths.
- Manage infrastructure budgets and forecasts, balancing reliability, transformation investments, and cost efficiency.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing, geographically distributed team, setting clear goals, developing future leaders, and fostering an inclusive, high‑accountability culture.
- Partner with application, workplace, and business technology leaders to support site builds, expansions, connectivity upgrades, and platform modernization programs.
- Act as a trusted regional infrastructure leader to senior stakeholders through clear communication, executive‑level reporting, and data‑driven recommendations.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and operations, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing managers and/or geographically distributed teams.
- Deep hands‑on and architectural expertise in on‑prem infrastructure: VMware virtualization, enterprise networking, storage, and backup technologies.
- Solid experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, identity, governance, and cost management fundamentals).
- Proven delivery of large‑scale infrastructure programs, such as data center or colocation build‑outs, hardware refreshes, network modernization, and resiliency initiatives.
- Strong grounding in operational excellence and ITIL‑aligned practices, including incident, problem, change, and capacity management.
- Experience working in regulated environments, with demonstrated collaboration with Security and Compliance teams.
- Demonstrated success in vendor negotiation and commercial management, working closely with Procurement, Legal, and Finance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

- Strong networking expertise (routing and switching, WAN/SD‑WAN, internet edge, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, segmentation).
- Strong storage and data protection background (SAN/NAS/object, replication, ransomware‑resilient backups).
- Experience leading strategic sourcing and vendor transitions for infrastructure services.
