Job Purpose
Lead the Global Fluid Power Support Team based in CNH India Tech Center, providing engineering, technical, and project execution support to global Fluid Power organizations.
The role is responsible for developing team capabilities, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of engineering activities, supporting resource planning, and driving standardization, productivity, and continuous improvement across global engineering programs.
This position acts as the primary interface between the Global Fluid Power organization and the ITC support team, ensuring alignment of priorities, technical excellence, and effective execution of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers supporting global Fluid Power engineering activities.
- Manage resource allocation and workload balancing to support business priorities across multiple global programs.
- Ensure delivery of engineering tasks with the required quality, timing, and cost objectives.
- Build and maintain strong collaboration with global engineering managers, technical specialists, and project teams.
- When necessary, support local India Fluid Power activities, coordinating and balancing teams workload with local Fluid Power management.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, competency development, and succession planning activities for the team.
- Drive standardization of engineering processes, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Monitor team performance through appropriate KPIs and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Identify opportunities to expand the scope and capability of the Global Support Team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Support engineering activities when required, providing technical guidance and problem-solving leadership.
- Support annual resource and budget planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with CNH engineering processes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication between the India support organization and global stakeholders.
- Participate in leadership discussions regarding organizational priorities, staffing, and capability expansion.
- Partner with external resources such as universities, suppliers and associations as needed to close competency gaps or to scout talents.
Experience Required
- 12+ years of engineering experience in product development, design, validation, systems engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a global and multicultural environment.
- Experience in Fluid Power, hydraulics, transmissions, mobile machinery, agricultural, construction, automotive, or industrial equipment is preferred.
- Demonstrated track record in people management, talent development, and organizational leadership.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and engineering lifecycle management.
- Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of Fluid Power systems and mobile equipment engineering is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization.
