Job Purpose

The position is responsible for developing FEA models, performing simulations and validation of model accuracy through representative structural lab tests. The position will work with product design teams to provide technical solutions based on analysis for developing optimal structural designs for New Product Development and existing product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing FBD and Finite Element models that accurately simulate loading conditions. Perform FEA analysis and analyze results to make design suggestions.
  • Perform Linear Static, Nonlinear, and Modal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using OptiStruct and Abaqus at component and system levels.
  • Perform other related duties such as results communication, report writing with global teams.

Experience Required

    • Basic understanding of mechanical and structural engineering fundamentals, finite element analysis (FEA), and engineering material properties.
    • Knowledge of structural mechanics, stress–strain relationships, and failure theories.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
    • Familiarity with HyperMesh for finite element meshing and Abaqus for nonlinear structural analysis will be preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (M.Tech./M.E.) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Design, Engineering Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
