Job Purpose

This position will oversee the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting, reporting, controls, and reconciliations relating to the Company's Wholesale Finance and Floor Plan Funding portfolio. The incumbent will ensure accuracy, completeness, compliance, and timeliness of all wholesale finance accounting activities while acting as the Finance SME for dealer inventory financing and wholesale lending operations. This role will also act as the key point of contact for the Common Dealer Financing System for the local wholesale business related queries.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting:

  • Oversee key daily wholesale transactional accounting for Financial Services ANZ, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, completeness and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Ensure that all documents coming through interface from Industrial and Iveco Australia are acquired

correctly in CDFS. This could also involve assisting operations in resolving interface issues.

  • Monitoring of all intercompany transit accounts and resolve issues.
  • Monitoring all transit accounts in CDFS and ensuring that all open items are cleared within set timeframe.
  • Generate Bailment Note, Tax invoice and Finance Charge Invoices.
  • Manual creation of invoices for manually created contracts.
  • Perform document clearing run in SAP CDFS & NH3 and ensure that all open items in both the system match.
  • Ensure that condition table in CDFS is aligned with wholesale policy and procedures.
  • Perform month-end CDFS systems close function.
  • Post subvention entries and communicate to Industrial and Iveco.
  • Confirm intercompany account balances with Industrial upon review and balancing.
  • Post Assigned Receivable and Third Party Guarantee related journals.
  • Prepare quarterly Risk reserve deck and organize local risk meeting. Post required risk journals.
  • Monitor and clear interface batches and perform SAP CDFS & NH3 reconciliation.
  • Perform high-level validation of results and resolve any abnormalities to the financial integrity of the general Ledger prior to month-end accounting close
  • Responsible for the monthly review of 100+ balance sheet reconciliations and 100+ General Ledger postings (including documentation and adherence to policy).
  • Review monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet variances for Wholesale accounts. Investigate and highlight issues to management requiring immediate attention.

    Global Reporting:

    • The position is responsible quarterly for completing CNHI Global Phase 2 disclosure reporting schedules and ensuring that all ad-hoc reporting for the global accounting management is completed on-time and accurate.
    • Act as a back up to the Team Leader FS APAC COE Accounting/Chief Accounting Officer, Financial Services ANZ at year-end to complete eNergy corporate reporting.

     

    Internal/External Audit:

    • Coordinate all Wholesale Accounting aspects of internal and external audits for CNH Industrial Capital Australia Pty Ltd. Design efficient processes to ensure better audit flows and avoid duplication of tasks in Wholesale Accounting.

     

    Projects:

    • Provide recommendations to management on financial implications of Wholesale business activities and projects.
    • Participate in system enhancement meeting and calls. Drawing of business requirements, accounting flow and perform UAT.
    • Support the Chief Accounting Officer FS ANZ as and when required to complete the Wholesale projects undertaken by Finance or the Business.

    Compliance:

    • Seek to enhance internal controls, review internal procedures and maintain compliance with SOX corporate requirements on Accounting processes

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of Financial or Management accounting experience
  • Experience with MS Office suite of programs, with particular focus on Excel & Access
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to seek process improvements
  • Knowledge of Internal Controls and Accounting Procedures
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written across all levels of the organization and with external regulatory bodies such RBA, APRA, ABS & ATO
  • Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
  • Strong commitment to team and teamwork skills
  • SAP and/or Hyperion experience
  • Accounting Reconciliation software experience
  • Financial Services background is preferred
  • Eagerness to learn a unique business model

Preferred Qualifications

Accounting-related degree and CA/CPA qualified.
