Job Purpose

We are looking for a talented and experienced Driveline Simulation Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will bring your expertise in gear and bearing design, along with your knowledge of automotive or off-highway driveline systems, to help design, simulate, and optimize transmissions and driveline components. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Conduct endurance analyses of driveline systems including transmissions, axles, gearboxes, and related components to ensure durability and reliability.
•    Take part in technical feasibility studies and concept design of mechanical transmission components
•    Work strictly with the designer during all the development step supporting the process with Simulation (clutches, synchro, gear, bearing, shaft, etc etc)
•    Conduct tolerance stack-ups.
•    Analyze data from the field for new transmission load spectrum definition.
•    Work strictly  with Testing department in order to ensure the correct testing condition, perform simulation and correlation
•    Resolving NVH  issue and gear design optimization. Possible know how on other NVH tool.
•    Lead bearing selection and analysis efforts, ensuring components meet required performance and durability standards.
•    Analysis of testing failures / field failures and root cause analysis.
•    Ensure all driveline designs adhere to company standards, industry best practices, and relevant regulations.
•    Support technical and design reviews also with external supplier.
•    Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to the extended team
•    Collaborate closely with cross-functional and global teams, including mechanical design, manufacturing, and testing, to support the product lifecycle.
•    Prepare clear and thorough technical documentation, including simulation reports, design reviews, and inputs for FMEA.

Experience Required

•    8 - 11 years of experience in driveline or transmission design and simulation.

•    Proficient in Kisssoft for gear and bearing design and analysis.
•    Strong understanding of gear geometry, bearing types, and selection criteria with industry design standards like ISO, AGMA, or DIN related to gear and bearing design.
•    Familiar with design processes including DFMEA, DVP, and product validation.
•    Preffered background in automotive or off-highway driveline architectures and components.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
