Job Purpose
The Engine Program Manager is the central technical and program leadership responsible for managing the integration of engines and after‑treatment systems (ATS) into global Agricultural & Construction Equipment (AG & CE) platforms. This role acts as the primary liaison between engine suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams, ensuring technology readiness, integration excellence, and delivery of high‑quality, compliant powertrain systems across product lines. The Engine Program Manager governs installation standards, data exchange, and program execution from concept through industrialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the organizational subject‑matter expert for engine and ATS technologies across AG & CE platforms.
- Provide technical guidance on engine performance, ATS behavior, and system robustness under varying operating conditions.
- Ensure full compatibility of engine and ATS systems with vehicle architecture, interfaces, cooling systems, and packaging constraints.
- Govern data exchange protocols, installation requirements, and integration standards with engine suppliers
- .Lead the full lifecycle management of engine and ATS programs, including business case development, detailed project scheduling, and milestone tracking.
- Ensure program deliverables meet technical, cost, quality, timing, and regulatory compliance objectives.
- Drive cross‑functional coordination among Manufacturing, Purchasing, Validation/Testing, Quality, and Product Engineering teams.
- Proactively identify program risks, define mitigation strategies, and maintain contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted program execution.
- Lead warranty reduction initiatives and quality improvement programs in collaboration with engine suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Implement lessons learned and best practices to improve system performance and lifecycle durability.
- Promote innovation by developing internal tools, processes, and methods to enhance data accuracy, program efficiency, and engineering consistency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all engine and ATS‑related topics with external suppliers and internal AG & CE product teams.
- Maintain structured, timely communication to drive alignment and informed decision‑making.
Experience Required
- 12–18 years of experience in engine and ATS programs within AG/CE or automotive domains (diesel or gas).
- Blend of deep engineering expertise and strong program management capabilities.
- Experience working with global cross‑functional teams and delivering complex technical programs.
- Automotive (passenger car) experience is valuable; AG/CE experience preferred.
