Job Purpose
The Country Labor and Employment Relations Manager leads the industrial and labor relations strategy across the country, ensuring alignment with Regional and Global HR policies and local labor laws. This role is responsible for managing relationships with unions and employee representatives in the country, guiding country-level HR teams, and mitigating labor-related risks. This role ensure consistent and compliant practices application across all sites in the country.
In addition to overseeing collective bargaining and unionized environments, the role plays a critical part in fostering engagement and implementing proactive policies at non-represented sites, where present. This role ensures that these locations maintain strong direct relationships with employees, minimizing the risk of third-party interference and promoting a consistent, transparent, and inclusive workplace culture across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- The IR Specialist will be responsible for assisting Site HR Head for fostering harmonious industrial relations at our Noida Plant. This includes managing relationships with blue collars, proactively addressing employee grievances and disputes as well as discipline management in the plant. The IR Specialist will work closely with the Site HR team and other vertical leads in the manufacturing for developing and implementing effective IR strategies that support the Site HR Head to achieve company's operational and growth objectives.
- Responsible for settlement of grievances of the blue collars, Reward & Recognition, disciplinary action, employees engagement activities
- Proactively manage all facility services in accordance with standard processes and procedures, ensuring superior customer satisfaction. Develop processes & SOPs wherever required.
- Handling complaints, managing grievance procedures and facilitating counseling in conjunction with other stakeholders.
- Investigating and resolving industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collating and analysing employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and giving proposals on revising the current related IR policies to generate more positive outcomes from the Internal customers
- Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement.
- Planning and preparing comprehensive MIS
- Compliance and welfare functions as assigned by the Site HR
Experience Required
- 10-15 years of Manufacturing industry experience.
- Age – 35-45
- High level of integrated leadership skills & competencies in Industrial Relations
- Well-honed communication, presentation & interpersonal skills;
- Strong focus on delivery and results with high drive and energy levels.
- Conversant with good IR practices and full knowledge of the statutory laws,
- Well trained in conflict management techniques
- Experience in the designing, implementation and administration of human resource policies and activities.
Language Requirement(s): English, Hindi
Preferred Qualifications
MBA/MSW– HR
