Job Purpose

The Transport Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing export operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role involves coordinating with internal departments and external partners to plan, track, and resolve transportation issues, ensuring that goods are transported efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• • Coordination with transporters for on-time placement of truck for the movement of units from plant.
  • Digitalization of track & trace of all the transporters through P44.
  • Managing complete export activities like Scrutiny of LC & SI, Co-ordinate with shipping line for bookings & vessel plans.
  • Resolve market queries if any.All the correspondence and coordination with the consignee till the final clearance of shipment at destination and providing all the documents required by the importer’s and their country specific customs.
  • Monitoring and liasoning with the CHA, freight forwarder & others for the smooth custom clearance of shipments.
  • Coordination with CNH cross functioning team and ensuring the units should get in sound condition and on time.
  • Monitoring movement of vessel and updating same with the sales admin & customers.
  • Managing spot quotation from global contracting for related markets in every month which are not available in annual contract whereas planned for the month.
  • Sharing the monthly forecast with nominated carriers and freight forwarders in beginning of the month and ensure that all carriers will be able to provide the bookings as per our requirement.
  • Ensuring the availability of containers for the export and managing LCL, FCL & Air freight as per daily plan.
  • Coordination with nominated freight forwarders and ensure to place the containers and vehicles on time at plant for stuffing and loading.
  • Managing FOC shipments through DHL Express and other Freight Forwarders.
  • Updating MIS report on daily basis, ensuring no technical issue on the track and trace tools.Updating ocean freight in ERP-LN software for release the commercial invoices.
  • Local/gateway EGM & IGST update thru CHA & coordinate for correction if any. Managing GR waiver & BL arrangement.
  • Month end provisions to Finance.

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s/  Masters in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.

• At least 8~12 yrs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidate should be self-driven & can work in close coordination with plant.
• Candidate should well equipped proficiency to work in Power Bi, ERP- LN, MS Excel, MS word, Power point.
• Candidate must have good co-ordination & communication skills.
• Candidate must have experience to handle export shipments & has direct interaction with end customers.
• Candidate should have sound knowledge of custom procedures to understand the custom complicacies.
• Has an experience of using OTM and Project44.
