Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising engine performance testing on test bed as per SOP and Monitor engine parameters such as torque, power, RPM, oil pressure, temperature, smoke, Noise, and vibration.
• Supervise the engine prod in engine shop and ensure no defects are passed to testing from shop
• Ensure that the engines as per Buckle up Prod Plan / DL Availability as per hourly alert are readily available for buckle up after testing and fitment of dress up components.
• Ensure daily production targets are achieved without compromising quality.
• Analyze test results and identify abnormalities. incl. maintain I chart of defects and make action plans to reduce the rework
• Troubleshoot engine-related issues during testing.

• Ensure that the testing equipment are in good working condition and coordinate with PE/ME for reducing the Breakdowns
• Coordinate with Quality and Production teams for defect rectification.
• Ensure compliance with Poka-Yoke and quality systems.
• Ensure Safety Compliance i.e. PPE Adherence, Risk assessment, No spillage of coolant/ oil / fuel on floor etc.
• Reduce rework and rejection through root cause analysis & Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Plan manpower availability in shifts to run shop smoothly
• Maintain Good 5S in Testing and dress up area

Experience Required

8 –18 Years in Automobile Engine Manufacturing & Testing Industry

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma / B.Tech. in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering (B Tech. Preferred).
