Job Purpose

Driveline simulation engineer will be responsible for design and analysis of driveline components from manufacturing, assembly and function prospective. Candidate should have the ability for Kisssoft/Kisssys /Romax modelling. In this role, you will bring your expertise in gear and bearing design, along with your knowledge of automotive or off-highway driveline systems, to help design, simulate, and optimize transmissions and driveline components. In this position will work very closely with Modena and other international locations and will be taking care for current and new products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Good Knowledge of the product/Aggregate in details.
  • Conduct endurance analyses of driveline systems including transmissions, axles, gearboxes, and related components to ensure durability and reliability.
  • Take part in technical feasibility studies and concept design of mechanical transmission components.
  • Work strictly with the designer during all the development step supporting the process with simulation (synchro, gear, bearing, shaft).
  • Work on optimization of NVH of driveline (analysis of Transmission error and sound pressure levels through analysis)
  • Conduct tolerance stack-ups.
  • Work strictly  with testing department in order to ensure the correct testing condition, perform simulation and correlation.
  • Analysis of testing failures / field failures and root cause analysis.
  • Support technical and design reviews also with external supplier.
  • Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to the extended team.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional and global teams, including mechanical design, manufacturing, and testing, to support the product lifecycle.
  • Prepare clear and thorough technical documentation, including simulation reports, design reviews, and inputs for FMEA..
  • Use of design software like Teamcenter, Visual mockup etc

Experience Required

  • 5-8 years of experience in driveline or transmission design and simulation.
  • Proficient in Kisssoft/Kisssys/Romax for gear and bearing design and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of gear geometry, bearing types, and selection criteria with industry design standards like ISO, AGMA, or DIN related to gear and bearing design.
  • Familiar with design processes including DFMEA, DVP, and product validation.
  • Preffered background in automotive or off-highway driveline architectures and components.
  • Basic Knowledge of FEA & DAS to analysis the report

Preferred Qualifications

B.Tech / B.E in Mechanical.

M.tech/ ME (Optional)
