Job Purpose

The Commodity Buyer Senior Specialist plays a key role in executing complex tasks within the Metallic function, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and data analysis. This position supports strategic initiatives and provides guidance to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials aligned with business objectives
• Identify cost‑saving and value‑engineering opportunities through market intelligence and benchmarking
• Lead RFQs, RFPs, and tenders; evaluate bids and make award recommendations
• Support make‑or‑buy decisions and long‑term sourcing partnerships
• Ensure compliance with audit, legal, and contractual obligations
• Maintain proper documentation and procurement records
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Finance, and Planning teams
• Support new product development (NPD) and localization initiatives
• Provide procurement inputs for budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Supplier relationship & vendor management
