Job Purpose:

 

The Engine & ATS Integration Engineer serves as the technical authority and liaison between engine manufacturers and internal AG & CE (Agricultural & Construction Equipment) product teams. This role ensures the compatibility of off-road vehicles with engine and ATS systems by governing data exchange and installation standards. Including

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for engine and after-treatment system (ATS) integration across AG & CE platforms, with the capability to recommend suitable engine and ATS configurations tailored to specific vehicle application requirements.
  • Providing tailored technical guidance based on vehicle operating conditions to ensure system performance and quality.
  • Support warranty reduction and quality improvement initiatives in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
  • Support project management initiative (Collaboration with different project stakeholders as Manufacturing, Purchasing, testing, Quality etc.) in engine and ATS for ongoing or new project.
  • Lead engine Product lifecycle management & drawing release.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all AG & CE product lines and platforms in integrating engines and ATS systems.
  • Govern technical data exchange between AG & CE teams and engine manufacturers to ensure system compatibility.
  • Ensure robust system performance and lifecycle quality under diverse operating conditions.
  • Support initiatives to reduce warranty claims and enhance product quality.
  • Maintain structured communication across teams and with engine manufacturers to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Travel as needed to gain insights into product usage and installation practices.

 

Experience 

  • 08–10 years of experience in engine and ATS programs, preferably within global AG/CE or automotive (diesel/gas) domains.
  • Strong engineering expertise combined with insights in program management.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and support achieving program deliverables.
  • Background in automotive (passenger cars) is valuable, with a preference for AG/CE experience.

 

Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of diesel engine fundamentals, components, thermodynamic cycles, performance metrics, and auxiliary systems.
  • Understanding of engine testing for combustion, emissions, and performance development.
  • Familiarity with fuel injection systems (distributor, in-line pumps, common rail).
  • Knowledge of emission formation, engine parameter influence, and after-treatment systems.
  • Awareness of global emission regulations and ability to interpret relevant legislation.
  • Strong academic background.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
  • Preferred: M.Tech.in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
