Job Purpose

As a Vehicle Architect for the Soil Management Team, you will support project lead engineers and the platform in current, new, and advanced development projects with the virtual validation and maintenance of product engineering’s CAD model bill of materials to ensure a perfect fit of the vehicle before physical parts are made, to avoid serious quality/performance issues and to avoid high costs before and after final engineering releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owner of the vehicle master model and bill of material creation, modification, and maintenance
    • Create and maintain master models based upon the product configuration structure
    • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into the vehicle and master model
  • Develop/support engineering release plans by aligning with the project engineer or other groups to meet program timing.
  • Communicate with a global engineering team to coordinate the space claim and assure project completion following established design processes.
  • Ensure the design team is working with up-to-date and correct 3D environments
  • Provide space claims – pre-design studies to product engineering for new features or requests
  • Lead virtual validation of 3D models for interferences and tolerance stack-up
  • Collaborate with responsible engineers to review and ensure integrity of engineering change release content
  • Provide build configuration-specific files for prototype and early manufacturing builds
  • Coordinate prototype build activity by ensuring all required components are ordered and delivered to project timing
  • Maintain/support documentation regarding base vehicle and optional configuration weights
  • Act as a key support for project leads (Prepare technical communication slides, general presentations, reports, planning, etc.)
  • Supply necessary visuals rendered from 3D models to support the chief engineer
  • Provide necessary documentation as needed to support project milestone presentations.

Experience Required

  • Associates degree with emphasis in Mechanical, Agricultural, Automotive, Aerospace and/or Electrical disciplines.
  • 6+ years of experience in Product Development.
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Mechanical, Agricultural, Automotive, Aerospace and/or Electrical disciplines.
  • Expert in Siemens Team Center and VisMockup
  • Working knowledge of tillage equipment or other agricultural equipment applications
  • Strong leadership with written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time and priority management with the ability to manage many activities.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is USD $84,400.00 - $123,750.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
