Job Purpose

CNH Industrial in Goodfield is seeking a skilled and solutions-oriented Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in Fabrication processes to drive continuous improvement, ensure weld quality, and support production efficiency. This role focuses on applying technical knowledge and hands-on problem-solving to optimize machining and general fabrication operations in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Machining Process Optimization

Use Mastercam and other software to design parts and generate CNC machine programs and instructions for precise manufacturing

    • Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECO) Change Management with Product Design Engineering and updating work instructions.
    • Introducing new tools as needed for optimal machine performance with new or revised parts
    • Participate in Design for Manufacturing reviews on new parts and guide design on production capabilities
    • Source and implement new machinery for improved productive output

Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure fabrication operations meet internal standards and produce quality parts to print
    • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for fabrication-related defects.

Production Support

    • Create evaluation methods to measure plant and equipment, capacity output, and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.
    • Support new product introductions by developing fabrication procedures and tools, fixtures and programming requirements.
    • Support machine AM and PM calendar and routine maintenance activity for maximum machine uptime

Continuous Improvement

    • Lead or participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives focused on fabrication or other areas of the plant as needed.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and implement process improvements.

Documentation & Training

    • Create and maintain fabrication procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
    • Train operators and technicians on best practices and safety standards.
    • Evaluate worker productivity and recommend improvements to increase workforce efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and promote cost control/reductions.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience with hands-on Fabrication experience
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CREO)
  • Proficient in Mastercam and other machine control software
  • Strong understanding of fabrication machine drawings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering or related field
  • Exposure to tool and drill fixture design and build
  • Demonstrated Project Management and Capex exposure
  • Proven track record to lead small project teams in continuous improvement
  • Lean Manufacturing/continuous improvement experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across various groups and levels of management.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is USD $84,375.00 - $105,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
