Key Responsibilities
Duties: The Plant Quality Senior Specialist at CNH Industrial America LLC in Fargo, North Dakota will support and guide CNH Industrial manufacturing plants within the North American region in the application of quality tools, methodologies, and processes. Provide quality and process communications and contribute to cross-functional teams by conducting root cause and data analysis, identifying potential resolutions and working with cross-functional teams to implement those resolutions. Advocate for CNH dealers and farmers by continually improving feedback systems that increase the Voice of the Customer within the manufacturing and supply chain segments. Utilize several metrics to judge quality performance and incorporate this into team discussions to improve metrics. Partner with quality teams at manufacturing plants to establish root cause, containment and implement robust countermeasures against defects. Provide subject matter expertise on quality policies, procedures, and directives. Maintain and audit multiple-site quality management systems. Teach and enforce quality policies, procedures, and directives in the region, including to Quality Managers and other leadership roles. Develop, implement, and maintain quality methods and processes. Perform time studies for new processes. Train other engineers on benchmarking potential improvements through data collection or other validation tools. Develop, share, and assist with the implementation of best practices. Work with end users and dealers to problem solve and implement solutions. Utilize ProPlanner and control charts within a value stream. Track and report on performance and activity indicators. Populate data on monthly reports for the Fargo team. Monitor other teams’ metrics and hold them accountable for improving their data over time. Provide data on current products to determine what needs to be improved on new products. Perform audits for CNH manufacturing plants. Provide assistance to CNH manufacturing plants for product launches. Assist with process improvement efforts including trialing new software interfaces with our manufacturing processes. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Travel to US/Canada as needed. Two trips per year to each of the CNH manufacturing plants located in Benson, MN, Racine, WI and Grand Island, NE.
Experience Required
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field plus 6 years of experience as a quality engineer or related occupation with heavy equipment in agriculture. The 6 years of experience must include 6 years of experience with each of the following: (1) agriculture equipment repair, including tractor operation and build; (2) liaising with dealer technicians and regional service managers; (3) Telematics for design and troubleshooting; (4) CANBUS and ISOBUS; (5) hydraulics theory, application, troubleshooting, and cleanliness specifications; (6) automotive AIAG standards; (7) ISO 9001:2015 standards; (8) electrical theory and diagnostics in automotive manufacturing; (9) digital volt meters, calipers, diagnostic tools, Qlik Sens, Miro, and Power BI.
