Job Purpose

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance activities across multiple shifts to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of plant equipment and facilities. This role oversees preventative and corrective maintenance, supports production needs, and ensures compliance with safety regulations, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in alignment with corporate safety programs, regulations, and plant standards.
  • Support sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental and energy impact.

Maintenance Operations

  • Supervise, schedule, and direct maintenance teams to support production and facility needs across shifts.
  • Perform and delegate preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and PLC issues, including complex and infrequent equipment failures.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and oversee equipment improvements and repairs to maximize uptime and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure safe and compliant operation of plant utilities, including electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.

Continuous Improvement

  • Follow established procedures while driving process improvements in fabrication, welding, paint, and assembly.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for equipment and process issues; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze and measure effectiveness of existing maintenance processes, developing sustainable improvements.
  • Lead and coach project teams in certification, quality, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, to improve reliability and efficiency.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with Operations and Functional Teams to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to maintenance staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with production leadership and other departments regarding maintenance priorities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Operations, or Technical discipline plus 4 or more years of maintenance/facilities experience in a manufacturing environment OR Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years OR High School Diploma plus 10+ years of maintenance/facilities experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems.
  • Ability to service and maintain electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong data analysis, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Master Electrician license (or eligibility within one year).
  • Experience in PLC programming.
  • Environmental, Health, Safety, or Energy certifications.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools.

Pay Transparency

​The annual salary for this role is $63,000 -$92,400 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
