Job Purpose
As an Engineering Team Lead, you will lead a regional team of embedded software test engineers responsible for ensuring the quality and readiness of CNH's precision application platform, commonly known as Gen2 NGMA. You will provide technical and people leadership, guide test strategy and execution, and plan engineering activities to support product development and release objectives. Working closely with software engineers, product management, and global engineering teams, you will drive product quality, support defect resolution, and foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence while developing the capabilities and growth of your team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a regional team of test engineers ensuring quality of the global precision product portfolio
- Exercise good judgement on appropriate test plans and methods to achieve high quality at reasonable cost
- Proactively summarize and communicate test results that accurately describes product quality
- Coordinate and execute test efforts in electronics laboratories and on vehicle in real world environments
- Facilitate engineering efforts and provide engineering assistance to internal teams and external customers
- Monitor the demand for engineering services and participate in planning processes to ensure adequate resources
- Work closely with product management and software engineers to create new test cases for new and existing features
- Contribute to the final product quality. Perform defect verification and report customer concerning issues
- Promote and maintain the highest possible environment of teamwork and collaboration
- Keep breast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications
- Administer team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field with 5+ years of engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed
- Previous experience as an embedded test engineer or embedded software developer.
- Experience developing, testing or supporting embedded systems for agricultural equipment, construction equipment or other heavy-duty off-road vehicles
- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams in an Agile development environment including work prioritization, sprint planning, backlog management and commitments delivery
- Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $106,725.00 - $163,645.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
