Job Purpose

The Global Product Strategy & Portfolio Lead is responsible for coordinating the development of CNH Precision Technology strategy in conjunction with senior leadership and in alignment with its strategic direction and vision, as well as coordinating the strategy’s validation, communication, and practical deployment. This role provides the strategic synthesis, portfolio leadership, and execution discipline required to convert that direction into evidence-based choices, an integrated and prioritized global product portfolio, and measurable progress.

Operating across immediate, mid-term, and 3- to 10-year horizons, this role brings together external market intelligence and internal business, customer, technology, portfolio, regional, financial, and execution perspectives. The role coordinates the strategy-development process, prepares strategic options and recommendations for leadership decision, communicates the approved direction, and owns the portfolio planning, prioritization, governance, and performance visibility required to translate strategy into execution.

This role leads the Strategy and Portfolio function and works across the organization to connect leadership direction, strategic choices, portfolio implications, proof points, investment priorities, and execution. The Global Product Portfolio & Operations Manager reports into this role and leads the day-to-day management and operation of the integrated portfolio. The Global Product Strategy & Portfolio Lead retains accountability for strategic synthesis, integrated portfolio direction, major investment recommendations, and consequential cross-portfolio trade-offs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Coordination & Long-Range Planning

  • Coordinate long-range strategy development with senior leadership, integrating external and internal insights into scenarios, strategic alternatives, growth opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Translate approved direction into portfolio priorities, investment themes, roadmaps, decision criteria, and measurable outcomes; senior leadership retains ownership of the strategic vision.

Strategic Options & Rapid Validation

  • Evaluate growth opportunities beyond current roadmaps against customer needs, adoption barriers, market shifts, capabilities, regional needs, strategic fit, feasibility, and financial value.
  • Sponsor and coordinate proofs of concept, pilots, and experiments with clear success criteria, learning goals, time limits, and decision gates. Recommend internal development, partnership, acquisition, incubation, white-label, redirection, or no-go paths based on evidence.

Portfolio Strategy & Prioritization

  • Own integrated portfolio direction and priorities across functions, horizons, and regions, aligning strategy, customer value, roadmaps, investment, capacity, and outcomes.
  • Lead trade-offs across scope, timing, cost, value, risk, dependencies, and resources. Balance current commitments, next-generation products, and future growth while maintaining visibility to capability gaps and strategic risks.

Planning, Governance & Decisions

  • Set planning expectations linking long-range strategy, roadmaps, SBP, investment, and execution; delegate day-to-day operation to the Global Product Portfolio & Operations Manager.
  • Establish consistent governance, decision rights, escalation paths, approvals, and leadership-forum inputs and outputs. Provide alternatives, recommendations, evidence, and decision materials to the Strategy and Marketing Coordination Leader, Vice President, and executive forums.

Portfolio Performance & Metrics

  • Define portfolio indicators, value measures, and outcomes; ensure traceability from strategy through investment and execution to product, customer, and business results.
  • Provide Product Management and executives with transparent performance, risks, gaps, capacity conflicts, and investment-redirection options.

Portfolio Leadership & Operational Improvement

  • Lead the Strategy and Portfolio function; set priorities, delegated authority, decision boundaries, and expectations for the Global Product Portfolio & Operations Manager, who leads day-to-day portfolio operations.
  • Standardize requirements flow, roadmapping, alignment, and decision documentation across teams and regions. Improve speed, clarity, scalability, and accountability through continuous feedback.

Strategy Communication & Alignment

  • Present insights, strategic alternatives, validation results, investment proposals, and trade-offs; align the global matrix around approved strategy, priorities, investment sequencing, and capability needs.
  • Coordinate strategy communication and deployment into portfolio actions and execution guidance. Preserve clear boundaries between leadership’s strategic direction, this role’s synthesis and portfolio direction, delegated operations, product ownership, and execution.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience across Product Management, Strategy, Portfolio Management, Product Operations, Innovation, Engineering, Business Development, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating enterprise or business-unit strategy development and translating leadership direction into strategic alternatives, portfolio priorities, investment recommendations, experiments, and execution plans.
  • Experience owning or governing a complex multi-product portfolio across multiple functions, horizons, regions, or technology domains.
  • Experience leading managers or senior professionals and setting objectives, decision rights, priorities, and performance expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience developing business cases, strategic recommendations, portfolio trade-offs, and executive investment proposals.
  • Strong understanding of customer workflows, market dynamics, technology evolution, business models, and organizational operating systems.
  • Proven ability to operate across strategy and execution layers in a global matrix organization.
  • Strong analytical, financial, facilitation, executive-communication, and organizational leadership skills.

Pay Transparency
