Job Purpose

The CPQ is responsible for the Current Product Quality within the Quality Org. and acts as the Product Quality interface between Regional Quality and Platform for assigned model families with the main focus on ensuring the quickest possible technical solutions.

The Current Product Quality specialist coordinates, prioritizes, supports and facilitates the Early warning activities and field campaigns, with high focus on driving action plans on product improvements to meet warranty and roadmap targets and to continuously improve the product.

Key Responsibilities

Interactions with the portion of the company exposed to Customers and Dealers: the interaction with the Product Support regional & market organizations and the Brands (Regions, Area’s, Branches and Importers) for Pune produced combine & header.

  • Properly identify, define, prioritize, and escalation of current product quality and reliability issues coming from Regional Quality Teams and through analysis of Global Warranty reporting tools.
  • To drive timely resolution of correctly prioritized product concerns through the 7 Step Process as a key member of the Current Product Management Team with particular responsibility with ensuring Root Cause identification and resolution effectiveness.
  • Identify and develop Product Improvement Programs in respect for warranty, regulatory & safety concerns. Forecasting completion rates, identifying parts, labor, travel, and other variable expenses as necessary to achieve Regional & Management approval, monitoring completion rates and managing any necessary issues through to PIP closure.
  • Support the markets by assisting in service meetings, being the Current Product Quality representative.
  • Prepare and present concise feedback on KPI (Key Performance Indicators), Product Improvement Programs and open concerns to the stakeholders through different meetings and documents.
  • To create and maintain Quality & Reliability Roadmaps for assigned product lines to achieve Product Reliability (MERF)  & Warranty Cost Targets (CORF) and share visibility.
  • To assist the Platform Team in determining the strategic direction of new products in areas of field quality and reliability, fitness for use, and customer satisfaction based on current product performance.
  • To assist with developing warranty budget accrual rates for current products and work with responsible New Product Quality to set objectives on warranty for new products.
  • Visit the field in close cooperation with the In Field Specialist / Local product support teams.
  • Review technical information (Service Bulletins, Issue Masters, knowledge Objects, SNUs)

Interactions with the internal departments (Platform, Engineering, Production, Wholesales Logistics, Spare Parts, Warranty, Publication, Training).

  •  Active player on diagnosis , CPM and Platform Teams to develop action plans to drive continuous product improvement to meet warranty target (interacting with Current Product Managers)
  • In cooperation with the In Field Quality Specialist, represent Current Product Quality in Current Product teams (Early warning / CPM – Current Product Management)
  • Recognize concerns from different input sources (Warranty, ASiST, Market/Field input), in cooperation with Quality Intelligence, gather supporting information on specific technical problems, consolidate and escalate to CPM team.
  • Escalate topics and Participate in Legal and Safety review with the Product Safety Committee.
  • Manage the Recall of failed components for further investigation with Current Product Teams.

Experience Required

  • Degree or equivalent in Agricultural, Mechanical or Electronical Engineering
  • Possibly 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Quality, Manufacturing or Service related activity or Engineering/testing.
  • Language skills: English (High level spoken and written)
  • ICT skills: familiar with Microsoft Office and specific company applications
  • Good experience and knowledge on agricultural machinery
  • Logical and rigorous problem solving approach
  • Good interpersonal skills and team player

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good customer service skills (customer relation management), Team player and problem solver
  • High level of autonomy
  • High level of flexibility (domestic travel, seasonal effect on availability, stand by during the season)
