Job Purpose
To lead and manage end-to-end warehousing operations for Case CE India, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, preservation, retrieval, and line feeding of approximately 15,000 SKUs across a 40,000 sqm facility. The role is accountable for managing an inventory value of ₹350 Cr while driving operational excellence, cost optimization, inventory accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement through digitization and lean practices.
Key Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations Management
- Lead end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, verification, GRN, storage, retrieval, line feeding, reverse logistics, and dispatch.
- Manage ~15,000 SKUs across two shifts with a team of 20 white-collar employees, 300+ blue-collar workforce, and 55 MHEs.
2. Cost Management & Optimization
- Plan, monitor, and control operational costs including manpower, MHEs, consumables, storage infrastructure, and projects.
- Drive cost reduction through Kaizens and process optimization initiatives.
3. Material Flow & Feeding Excellence
- Ensure timely material receipt, verification, and storage aligned with production plans.
- Achieve 100% material availability at point of consumption through advanced feeding systems (JIT/JIS, Kanban, Kitting, Sequencing, DOL, etc.).
4. Material Handling Strategy & PFEP
- Develop and sustain Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
- Establish optimized material handling and feeding policies based on part characteristics and consumption patterns.
5. Inventory Accuracy & Control
- Drive perpetual inventory practices including cycle counting, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
- Lead annual wall-to-wall inventory and coordinate statutory audits.
- Maintain best-in-class inventory accuracy.
6. Preservation & FIFO Compliance
- Ensure adherence to material preservation standards.
- Enforce strict FIFO compliance to minimize obsolescence and damage.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain a zero-incident work environment across operations.
8. Continuous Improvement & Digitization
- Lead lean initiatives, Kaizen culture, and supply chain transformation projects.
- Implement and enhance WMS and digital tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual dependency.
9. Inwarding, Inspection & Inventory Health
- Monitor inwarding, inspection, and excess material handling.
- Drive actions on slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory to improve inventory health.
10. Dispatch & Reverse Logistics
- Manage dispatch operations including job work, rejections, packing returns, and sale orders.
- Oversee RGP/NRGP movements and vendor returns.
11. Critical Activity Monitoring
- Ensure timely scrap disposal and insurance claim processing.
- Manage non-usable inventory through salvage and disposal strategies.
Experience Required
- 20+ years in Warehousing & Materials Management
- Experience in Automotive / Construction Equipment / Heavy Engineering preferred
- Proven track record in:
- Large-scale warehouse management
- WMS/EWM implementation
- Lean practices (Kaizen, PFEP, JIT/Kanban)
- Inventory control & digitization

Education
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)

- MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management
